The idea
Coveted sneakers were increasingly treated as investments, kept unworn to protect their resale value. eBay’s Wear ’Em Out Store turned that tension into a real-world experience: shoppers could pay less for collectible sneakers if they wore them out of the store.
The three-day Los Angeles pop-up featured a selection curated with Offset. A path of grass, gravel, and concrete put the idea into practice as shoppers left in their new pairs.
PR leadership
Kristin led PR for the campaign during her time at Edelman, working as part of the wider eBay and agency team. The communications effort brought the store’s premise to sneaker, lifestyle, and national media audiences.
The broader campaign combined media interviews, visual storytelling, celebrity participation, and an in-person experience designed to travel beyond the store.
